About the Author
Matthew E. Miller is a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy. Originally from Frankfort, Kentucky, he now resides in San Diego, California, with his wife Jaclyn, an audiologist serving active-duty service members. Together, they are raising two boys, Mason and Hayden, and their dog, Olivia. Inspired by their experiences as a Navy family, Matthew wrote this story to help his sons understand why sometimes Daddy has to go away—and to celebrate the pride that comes with service.
My Daddy, My Sailor is part of the My Mommy, My Daddy Series and helped inspire the creation of My Hero, a collection of books and dolls designed to help families stay connected across any distance.
